
Tucson is an aviation buff's dream, where you can get a peak at some of the military's fastest planes at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, and tour the highly regarded Pima Air and Space Museum, both minutes away from the Flight Control Academy.
Tucson plays host year-round to many festivals and sporting events. Tucson
is the spring training home of three Major League baseball teams: the Colorado Rockies, Chicago White Sox, and the
Arizona Diamondbacks. Tucson also claims a major league AAA team--the Tucson Sidewinders, as well as the new home of USA Olympic Baseball. Tucson is also home of the West Coast Hockey
League Tucson Gila Monsters.
Tucson is host to the Professional Bowlers Association Tucson Open, the PGA Chrysler Classic,
and the LPGA Welsh's Tucson Open.
Metropolitan Tucson and Southern Arizona have more than 40
golf courses. Many are listed in Golf Magazine's Top 100 Courses in the
United States.
Tucson is also the home of the NCAA Champion Universtiy of
Arizona Wildcats.
