Course: During this 6 week (200 hour) program, participants are prepared to successfully pass their FAA knowledge, oral and practical exams, administered at the Academy by FAA Designated Aircraft Dispatcher Examiners. All testing is conducted at Sonoran Wings facilities in Tucson. Practice tests are available on all of our computers.
Our instructors have extensive knowledge and actual experience in flight planning, dispatching, meteorology, and air traffic control. We have computer work stations to simulate the working conditions of a practicing Aircraft Dispatcher for use in exercises and a working Dispatch Center (Sonoran Wings Aero Service) for demonstrations.
Our classroom uses modern training technologies with computers on each participant table. A laptop computer is essentially a must, as participants will need to access the Internet during after-hours study and to complete on-line testing. Each participant has a computer in the classroom for use during the classes.
