Aircraft Dispatchers Initial Course



This course is designed to provide the student with the subject areas and materials to prepare the student to pass the examinations required to obtain an aircraft dispatcher certificate. Completion of this course will prepare the student to effectively dispatch an aircraft according to the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.

Tuition: $3,900.00 includes all in-house training materials, Airline Transport Pilot written exam guide, Aviation Weather and Weather Services and FAR/AIM manuals, and both FAA required exams.

This course, as mandated by FAR Part 65, requires that all applicants for an aircraft dispatcher certificate have a minimum of two years experience in employment directly related to aircraft operations. The FAA has waived the two year employment requirement for applicants who attend an FAA approved aircraft dispatcher course, and successfully complete the written and practical examinations.

This course consists of 200 hours of instruction. The following requirements, as stated in FAR 65.53 must be met to attend this course:
You must be at least 23 years of age**
You must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
Comply with FAR's 65.55, 65.57, and 65.59

**Minimum age to attend the course is 21 years of age. Certificate cannot be issued until you reach your 23rd birthday.

Examination/Grading

The FAA (ADX) written evaluation requires a minimum score of 70% based on an 80 question examination.

The CATS computer testing system is used for the examination.

The Academy has one (1) FAA Designated Aircraft Dispatcher Examiner.
